I always wondered why people, specially artist, had such a fascination with New York City. I had been there before, and yes, it is a fun city, but I never felt like it was “THE CITY”. It all changed when I had the opportunity to work on the streets of NYC – then, Jay-Z’s lyrics made complete sense to me.
Alexandra + Gustavo contacted me about doing a special session in NYC to celebrate their two year anniversary; they wanted something fun, and at the same time something that they were going to remember for ever, so the idea of a ROCK THE DRESS SESSION in the streets of New York was born. Keep reading as I have some tips for both couples and photographers.
If you are not familiar with the concept of a Rock The Dress Session let me explain it to you in a short way: This is a session for couples, specially brides, that want to take their wedding gowns for a fun spin! This sessions are the epiphany of fun and a dream for creatives! There is nothing more inspiring than love, a fun couple and a killer playground, in this case New York City.
Tip for Photographers: NYC is a huge city. There is so much to see and do so I will advise you to have a plan and map out the places you want to visit and photograph. This will save you time and energy!
Tip for Couples: HAVE FUN! I can’t emphasize this enough! Embrace the city and laugh out loud! Beautiful photographs are created with real emotions 🙂
