Having photographed 100’s of weddings, I’ve noticed that the most stress-free and ridiculously fun weddings all have a few things in common. Here is what I have noticed they all share:
FIVE TIPS TO HAVE A STRESS FREE WEDDING & AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHS
TIP #1: LOCATION
So let’s be honest, a beautiful location will definitely enhance your photos. Where are you getting married? Are the grounds of the venue picturesque?
If you are still considering a location for your wedding, take a look at the Top 34 Miami Wedding Venues
If possible try to have your ceremony + reception at the same venue. This will definitely minimize some stress and keep things on schedule since there won’t be any driving involved.
If you can’t have your ceremony + reception at the same place, try to make sure both locations are at least close by and easy to get to.
TIP #2: HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A STRESS FREE WEDDING
Having photographed 100’s of weddings, and I have to admit that the weddings that have had a planner run very smoothly.
A planner is there to run the show, so you can enjoy the day!

TIP # 3: SCHEDULE PLENTY OF TIME FOR YOUR ROMANTIC PHOTOS
This is so important! I know you don’t want to miss a moment of your party, or perhaps you are so anxious about your ceremony that you overlook this.
As a photographer – and perhaps I am biased, I can’t recommend this enough! Set aside at least 45 minutes just for you and your partner to get beautiful and romantic photos of the two of you.
After photographing hundreds of of weddings, I have become really good at posing couples into romantic, and authentic moments that not only feel, but look natural!
You don’t have to be a professional model to look like a million bucks! You just need to trust me! :p
TIP # 4: PLAN AHEAD FOR YOUR FORMAL PHOTOGRAPHS
I call these the “mom pleasers”, the reason why is because many couples don’t care about them, but mothers LOVE them.
These formal portraits are also an important time of your day; however, if you are not careful this moment can be overwhelming and take longer than what you want.
My tip to you is to create a list ahead of time of the people you want to be formally photographed with. For example: “couple with Parents“, “couple with Maternal grandparents”… you get the idea.
Now, be very careful as this can become a very tedious thing to do. I recommend choosing your closest family members to be formally photographed with. After all, the rest of your guests can be captured in a more casual way during the party.
Make sure your photographer has chosen a location ahead of time to do this, so you and your family members will know where to go and when to do so. You can enlist the help of your event planner or maid of honor to do the job of gathering the guests and organize them into groups.
TIP 5: LET IT ALL OUT ON THE DANCE FLOOR!
his is your party, so you better have an AMAZING time on the dance floor. Forget about chatting with your parents’ guests and making small talk with your 3rd cousin. If people want to congratulate you, they better get down with the latest tunes, and have some impressive moves!
