Now that you have the list, let’s address some of the most common questions couples have:

Do you need a wedding planner?

Well, that’s really up to you. Do you need A/C in your car? Technically not, but having A/C makes the ride comfortable, the same goes with a wedding planner. Technically you don’t “need” one, but having one could save you stress, headaches, and even money!

How could a Miami Wedding planner help you save money?

Wedding planners work with a network of professionals and know exactly what would be the best for you, this alone can save you thousands of dollars.

Wedding planners can advise you to stay away from unnecessary things that you don’t need, guide you with the right selection of vendors, advise how to better use your budget, and help you avoid mistakes that can translate into lost money.

What’s the overall job of an event planner?

Since I’m not a wedding planner, I reached out to planner extraordinaire Jessica Masi from Masi Events and this is what she has to say:

“As a planner, our job is to create a memorable experience for our clients so they can make confident decisions. From assembling the perfect team for their overall vision to clearly communicating with the team of partners, infusing their wedding with personal details, and making sure that during their wedding they can be present and enjoy each and every moment.”Jessica Masi from Masi Events

What’s the difference between full planning and partial planning?

There are many wedding planners in South Florida and the majority of them offer either Full wedding planning or Partial wedding planning packages, so let’s dive into the differences:

According to Abby Gallagher from Blue Orchid Events, the difference between a Partial and Full Planning package is essentially where you are at in the planning process is where we will be starting.

A Full Planning Package means that you and your planner are starting at or near the beginning with a budget assessment, helping you choose all of your vendors and contract negotiations, style of wedding, and even sometimes aesthetics. That is typically 12-16 months of work.

For partial planning, you are required to have your venue and 3 of your main vendors already booked to be eligible for a Partial Plan (ie. photographer, videographer, and DJ for example), and is typically 6-8 months of work.”Abby Gallagher from Blue Orchid Events

Keep in mind that many Miami wedding planners also offer Management Packages. These packages are mostly designed to help you get things in order a month prior to your wedding day and help you with the organization and management of logistics on the day of the wedding.
