Located in a very trendy area of Miami, The Design District is packed with cool locations and plenty of interesting corners to get some fun photos of you and your family.
The District was designed for people to walk around comfortably, so there are plenty of plazas, and cute side streets making this urban location perfect for family sessions as safety is a must when photographing families with little kids.
Getting There:
The Miami Design District is centrally located and easy to access from i-95. There are plenty of parking lots around the area (perfect for some cool photos) and you can also find valet and street parking.
Do You Need A Permit to Take Photos In The Design District?
Miami Family Photography at the Design District can be done for free! The city doesn’t require a permit.

keep in mind that the streets can be busy with plenty of pedestrians, so if you and your family are a bit shy and want privacy this location might not be suited for you.

The weekends can be very busy at the Design District and they host events throughout the year, so make sure you check their events to avoid planning your session during a festival or a street concert.
What to wear for your Family Session At The Miami Design District?
This place is so chic and fun that really anything goes! Whether you want to be super fancy, or want to be a bit more casual, this location will work for you.
I always have consultations with my clients where we discuss what would be the best outfits to wear depending on my client’s personality and style.
Just make sure that everybody is wearing comfortable shoes as there could be a little bit of walking involved.

There are so many cute cafes and bistros around, and that is why I love this location so much!
You can stop and get some snacks and still get some adorable photos while doing so! My family sessions are a combination of posed and candid images.
