Indian Creek Country Club Wedding

Justin and Lanora got married at the Indian Creek Country Club in Miami Beach, and their celebration was everything an exclusive, private wedding should be—elegant, intimate, and absolutely stunning.

Indian Creek Country Club sits on Indian Creek Island between Bal Harbour and Miami Beach, offering something rare in South Florida: genuine privacy, exquisite architecture, and those bay views that make every photo feel timeless. But here’s what makes this venue truly special—it’s exclusively for members. That exclusivity shapes everything about a wedding here.

Let me walk you through what it’s like to get married at Indian Creek Country Club, and why it might be the perfect choice if you’re a member.

The Spaces: What the Indian Creek Country Club Offers

The club has four distinct spaces for weddings, which gives you flexibility in how you structure your day:

The Ceremony Lawn:

An intimate garden overlooking the bay. This is where Justin and Lanora said their vows—garden setting, water views, that perfect outdoor-ceremony feeling.

The Patio:

Gorgeous architectural details with Mediterranean charm. Perfect for first looks and romantic portraits. The light here is beautiful, and the terrace itself is photogenic without needing additional décor. Perfect for outdoor weddings in the late fall, winter, and spring.

The Pool Terrace:

Ideal for cocktail hour. Guests can mingle, enjoy drinks, and take in the views—classic country club elegance.

The Ballroom:

The ballroom provides air conditioning and full climate control—important in Miami. If you want to avoid any rain or high temperatures, then this option is perfect for you.

Guest Capacity:

The club comfortably accommodates up to 250 guests.

Whether you’re planning to host an intimate celebration or a large wedding, the club’s layout works at any scale. The distinct spaces mean everything flows naturally, regardless of size.

Vendor Requirements & Flexibility:

All vendors working at the Indian Creek Country Club must be insured.

You’re not restricted to a preferred vendor list. You can bring in outside vendors from anywhere. This gives you the flexibility to work with the professionals you trust.

The only vendor that’s exclusive to the Club is the catering company that is provided in-house.

Best Time for an Indian Creek Country Club Wedding:

Peak Season: November – April

If you’re planning a wedding at the Indian Creek Country Club, this is your window. The weather is comfortable, the light is gorgeous, and you can actually enjoy an outdoor ceremony without worrying about heat or afternoon thunderstorms.

March specifically is ideal—warm enough to feel like Miami, cool enough to be comfortable during a ceremony and photos.

Summer months (June-October) are possible but come with Miami’s heat, humidity, and afternoon thunderstorms. Most couples avoid this time.

Indian Creek Country Club Event End Times:

All events must end by 1:00 AM. This gives you plenty of time to host a memorable celebration!

Having photographed Justin and Lanora’s wedding here, I can tell you exactly what works about this venue photographically:

The Patio:

The architecture is genuinely beautiful. Arches, columns, Mediterranean details—it photographs like a European destination without leaving Miami.

The Ceremony Lawn:

Intimate, natural, with water views. The light here during afternoon ceremonies is gorgeous.

The Overall Aesthetic:

Because the club’s architecture is already elegant and timeless, you don’t need to over-decorate to get beautiful photos.

Is the Indian Creek Country Club Right for Your Wedding?

The Indian Creek Country Club is exclusive by design. That exclusivity creates a certain atmosphere—refined, private, sophisticated. If that resonates with you and you’re a member, it’s genuinely one of the best venues in Miami for an elegant outdoor wedding.

The Indian Creek Country Club is perfect if:

  • You’re a member
  • You want genuine privacy and exclusivity
  • You love classic, timeless aesthetics
  • You prefer an established, prestigious country club atmosphere
  • You want bay views and that Miami-adjacent elegance
  • You’re comfortable with a 1:00 AM end time
  • You want the flexibility to choose between an outdoor (patio) or an indoor (ballroom) reception

The Indian Creek Country Club might not be ideal if:

  • You’re not a member
  • You want a more casual or trendy aesthetic
  • You need flexibility on end times (1:00 AM is firm)

Enjoy a Glimpse of Lanora & Justin’s Elegant Outdoor Wedding at Indian Creek Country Club in Miami Beach

Justin and Lanora came all the way from LA to get married in Miami, a place close to Justin’s heart. Their day started early with getting-ready photos on site at Indian Creek Country Club.

One of the best features of the club is the large dressing rooms with comfortable lounge areas—perfect for you and your entire wedding party to get ready together. There’s enough space for hair and makeup, relaxation, and those candid moments between your closest friends before the day begins.

First Look and Romantic Portraits at Indian Creek Country Club

Every wedding I photograph is different, and every couple has their own priorities about how they want to spend their time. As a photographer, my job is to understand those needs and build a timeline that lets us create the images they’re dreaming of—without rushing or causing stress.

I start with a detailed client questionnaire during planning so I can learn what matters most and craft a timeline that actually feels good on the day.

For Justin and Lanora, having intentional time for portraits was important. They wanted romantic photos that felt calm and natural, not hurried.

The patio was perfect for this. We had time to explore these beautiful spaces, take advantage of the incredible light, and capture genuine moments together.

The Ceremony: Garden Romance Overlooking the Bay

Justin and Lanora’s ceremony took place in the intimate garden at Indian Creek Country Club, overlooking the bay. The setting was already romantic and private—exactly what you want for this moment.

The bay views created a stunning natural backdrop. The garden itself had that timeless, elegant feel that matched their aesthetic perfectly. Everything about the space felt sophisticated and serene.

The Wedding Party & Their Style:

One of my favorite things about this wedding, aside from how amazing the couple and their wedding party were, was how stylish and intentional every detail felt.

The bridesmaids wore the same color dress, but each style was different. This is smart design. Everyone coordinates visually, but each person wears what’s flattering to their body. Not everyone looks good in the same silhouette, and this approach honored that.

The groomsmen wore dark blue suits. Justin wore a chic Ralph Lauren dark blue suit with white pants—the perfect combination for a Miami wedding. It’s formal without being stuffy, and those white pants are exactly right for the climate and the elegance of the occasion.

The Reception: Bay Views and Celebration

After the ceremony, cocktails were served on the pool terrace, with stunning views of Miami.

For their reception, the patio setting, with its Italian-style architecture and bay views, transformed into an open-air celebration that was equal parts elegant and joyful. The soft pink and white florals, and the candlelight—it all came together beautifully.

And Then Came the Fireworks:

To kick off the celebration, Justin and Lanora surprised their guests with a beautiful fireworks display. The bay as backdrop, guests celebrating, that moment of pure joy and excitement—it was the perfect way to mark the beginning of their marriage.

If fireworks are part of your vision for an Indian Creek Country Club wedding, remember that you’ll need to coordinate a permit through the City of Miami Beach. But if you want that memorable moment, it’s absolutely worth planning for.
