This Palm Beach wedding was adorable and very special. It actually was a SURPRISE WEDDING!
Yes, you read that correctly. All the guests thought they were attending an engagement party, and while they were enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, the room next door was being decorated in a minimalistic, yet very chic way for a pop-up ceremony.
But before they opened the doors to revealed what the guests were actually invited too, Marianne changed into her stunning wedding gown and stood at the altar, while Stacey – the event planner gathered her parents and Ted’s parents, as Marianne wanted to have some time alone with them prior to the big surprise.
When her parents saw her standing at the altar, looking stunning as a bride, they were shocked! But oh so happy! This moment was my favorite part of the wedding, their shocked faces, and then all the love and hugging that followed was very beautiful.
There were some happy tears and so many: “OH MY GOD, ARE YOU SERIOUS!” that filled the room. Both sets of parents were very surprised, but also extremely happy and proud of them, and without a doubt, they gave Marianne + Ted their blessings!
Once the doors opened and guests were invited in, you could feel the joy! People were in shock, but at the same time super excited to be present at their wedding. So after a very sweet and loving ceremony Marianne + Ted were married.
Afterward, the guests and brand new Mr. & Mrs. enjoyed some dancing, some sweet speeches by Mariannes’ sister and Ted’s brother – the only two guests that were involved in the planning of this surprise Palm Beach wedding.
